Ram Gopal Varma’s Kamma Raajyam lo Kadapa Redlu has been the centre of controversies. The recent development is that the HC has ordered a stay on its release.

Ram Gopal Varma has been controversy’s favourite child since start due to various reasons. Why has Telangana High Court has ordered a stay on Kamma Raajyam lo Kadapa Redlu?
Kamma Raajyam Lo Kadapa Redlu has been in news ever since project was anunced by its makers. film was scheduled to release today i.e on vember 29, 2019. Many political people even filed petitions in Telangana High Court against it.
Praja Shanti Party founder KA Paul has said that Varma has portrayed him as a comical character in film. In ar petition, a businessman approached court and has asked Central Board of Film Certification to t issue certificate needed to release film. Amidst backlash, director of Kamma Raajyam Lo Kadapa Redlu, Ram Gopal Varma anunced that title of film will be changed to Amma Rajyam Lo Kadapa Biddalu.

In a letter to officials, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, advisor of Telangana government has said that name of film makes it sound like "confrontation of two castes". She also said in same letter that “two trailers of said film were released earlier to build up tempo and teasers have raised much commotion”. Hence, after considering se points Telangana High Court has ordered a stay on release of film. A copy of Sajjala’s letter has also been sent to Censor Board to look into matter and act accordingly.

Ram Gopal Varma’s previous film, Lakshmi's NTR had also created a huge spark amongst audience. film was reportedly based on politician N. T. Rama Rao’s last days. Due to political conflicts, many restrictions and cases were filed to stop release of this film too. However, HC said that every individual has ir right to express ir feelings. film released in March 2019.
