Several attendees at the Republican National Convention in Wisconsin donned fake bandages on their right ears, echoing solidarity with former President Donald Trump. Trump himself arrived at the Milwaukee convention on Monday evening sporting a real ear bandage, covering a wound inflicted during a recent campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

The incident in question occurred when a gunman, identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, opened fire at the rally, tragically killing one attendee and injuring two others before being neutralized by a Secret Service sniper. Trump's defiant response to the attack, including mouthing "Fight! Fight! Fight!" upon his arrival at the convention, has sparked a wave of symbolic gestures among his supporters.

Arizona delegate Joe Neglia, 63, explained to CBS News that he crafted his bandage prop on the bus to the convention as a tribute to Trump and a symbol of support. He described it as "the newest fashion trend" and emphasized that it was a gesture of sympathy and unity with the former president. Neglia's sentiment was echoed by others, including fellow Arizona delegate Stacey Goodman.

Neglia further stated to Fox News that seeing Trump's resilience and the outpouring of support upon his arrival inspired him to wear the bandage. The image of Trump defiantly standing after the incident has quickly become a symbol within the MAGA movement, reminiscent of his previous merchandise successes such as the iconic red MAGA hats and other campaign-themed products.
