A group of scientists at Oregon State University College of Science have discovered a creature that lived about 30 million years ago. researchers have given name mold pig because its appearance is a lot like a pig and it eats fungus. It was found unexpectedly in fossils preserved in Dominican amber. Scientists state that fossil proposes ar family, genus and s of macroinvertebrates which survived through mid-Tertiary time frame. newly discovered creature is so tiny that it doesn't fit into category of rmal animals. study was published in journal 'Invertebrate Biology' by George Poinar and Diane R.Nelson.

journal wrote, " several hundred fossil individuals preserved in amber shared ir moist, warm habitat with pseudoscorpions, nematodes, fungi and protozoa."

mold pig is different from or animals

As reported by foreign media,  researcher at University, Dr George Poinar said that y keep finding tiny, undiscovered fossil creatures without a spine on a regular basis and some times y find something that is millions of years old. Since mold pig is different from or animals y cant be placed in any such existing group of invertebrates. y look somewhat similar to water bears, or tardigres but do t come in ir category due to some differences.

"Placed in a new family, genus, and species, fossil shares characters with both tardigres and mites, but clearly belongs to neir group", wrote journal author.

Largest Flying Animal In History

Scientists have unveiled a newly discovered species of a pterosaur on September 11, largest ever flying animal according to a study conducted by Queen Mary University in London. y are plane-sized reptiles that domineered skies in ancient times of history over T-rex, Triceratops and or disaurs of Late Cretaceous. se species come from Azhdarchid group of pterosaurs. y were largest flying reptiles with a wingspan of up to 10 meters and weighs 250 kgs which lived during period of Cretaceous around 77 million years ago. remains of reptiles were found 30 years ago in Alberta, Cana, but palaeontologists assumed it wrong believing species belonged to an alrey kwn species of pterosaur discovered in Texas, USA, named Quetzalcoatlus.
