Restrictions on Rio restaurants and bars eased
Restaurants and bars reopened on Thursday in Rio de Janeiro as part of the plan by the City Hall to ease the restrictions imposed during the coronavirus pandemic.

In this new phase, restaurants are allowed not only allowed to delivery food, but provide table service following specifics measures, such as two metre (6.6 foot) distance between tables and a maximum capacity of 50%.

For some, like restaurant manager Marcos Albuquerque, reopening does not mean a more clear and certain future.
"We are opening today, but as you can see, (it is empty) not only here, but our neighbours too, some of m haven't even opened," he said.

In dition to restaurants, gyms, dance, fighting and swimming classes were also authorised to restart - as long as re is no physical contact, a third of capacity and a time-slot schedule.
People can now do individual training on beach - whereas before only activities in sea were permitted.

Tattoo studios were also included in city hall plan and can open as long as health protocols are followed.
In big cities like Rio de Janeiro, number of cases and deaths have decreased, but according to experts virus is moving to countryside where re is a jump in number of people infected.

Brazil have confirmed more than 1.4 million cases of COVID-19.
