Royal Treatment: Buckingham Palace returns lost toy to Australian girl
An Australian girl, Savannah Hart, 5, was holidaying in the UK during her summer vacations along with a stuffed monkey toy belonging to her kindergarten.

An Australian girl, Savannah Hart, 5, was holidaying in the UK during her summer vacations along with a stuffed monkey toy belonging to her kindergarten. During the day trip to Buckingham Palace with her family, Savannah misplaced the toy and had to fly home without her. She accidentally misplaced her beloved toy in Buckingham Palace during her European holiday but in return, she got the toy with royal treatment.‘Harriet’, a beloved toy monkey of an Adelaide Hills preschool girl was left behind at Buckingham Palace recently and when the school wrote a letter to the royal household about the issue, they not only found the toy but also sent the toy back to the girl along with a gift from the Queen. According to the sources, Savannah took Harriet out of her dad’s bag to pictures at the Palace and did not realize it was missing until the next day. Her mother Katie Hart realized something was missing the next day when they were on their tour bus.

Savannah's school teacher encouraged to pen down a letter
Savannah's school teacher Robyn Herringer encouraged her and her friends to pen down a letter to Queen Elizabeth II and her staff at the royal residence. They put a lot of photos of Harriet’s adventures around the world and all the children signed it, put it in an envelope and posted it. After their letter, the toy monkey was not only found but also returned with a royal treatment. It came back with another companion - a stuffed Corgi called Rex. The palace responded the following week that Harriet was taken good care along with a photo where the staff of the household posed with the toy animal.

Royal Collection Trust's Statements
A Royal Collection Trust, which takes care of the royal residence released a statement and said they aim to give every visitor a memorable experience of Buckingham Palace. Harriet the monkey was found near the Family Pavilion where she spent some time helping out the Visitor Services team before heading home. They hoped that Harriet enjoyed telling Rex the corgi about her adventures on the journey back to Australia.
