Russia announces 'world's first' COVID-19 vaccine, Vladimir Putin's daughter inoculated
Russsian President Vladimir Putin announced the health ministry has approved the world’s first coronavirus vaccine, reported the state media on August 10.

Putin reportedly said that his daughter has alrey received vaccination, hoping that Russia would soon start mass production of COVID-19 vaccine. He ded that his daughter h a mild temperature after she was vaccinated but it quickly went away. Putin revealed that vaccine received green signal after extensive trials.

Russia has become first country to register a coronavirus vaccine, however, questions have been raised over decision to register it vaccine before Phase 3 trials which last for months. Putin claimed that vaccine underwent necessary tests.

Conditional registration
Last week, experts, in presence of President Putin, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, h claimed that potential vaccine would clear conditional registration this month. Officials h anunced that vaccine was n rey to be ministered to civilians within three to four days of procedure completion.
Earlier, TASS h reported that human trials of Gam-COVID-Vac Lyo were complete and process of registering vaccine will begin as early as August 10-12. Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko reportedly said that clinical trials of coronavirus vaccine developed by Gamaleya centre were over and paperwork for vaccine’s registration was underway.
