Belarus asks Ukraine to withdraw military & foreign missions with weapons from border

"To de-escalate tension Ukrainians need to withdraw military from border, not place foreign missions with weapons," Belarus' State Border Committee said.

In an effort to defuse tensions between Ukrainian and Belarusian military forces on border, Belarus on Saturday asked  Ukrainian regime to withdraw its soldiers and foreign missions with weapons. Chairman of State Border Committee of Belarus Anatoly Lappo told state-affiliated ncy Belta that Kyiv needs to withdraw defence and military from border to avoid escalating situation. 

"To de-escalate tensions, Ukrainians need to withdraw military personnel from border, and t place foreign missions with weapons. fewer servicemen, except border guards, re should be fewer prerequisites for conflict on borders," department's press service was quoted by Belta as saying on October 15.

According to Chairman of State Border Committee of Belarus, border guards of Minsk will be able to suppress provocations by neighbouring states in case re was an escalation. committee also accused Poland of attempting to worsen situation. "Of course, re is tension from Polish side and from Baltic countries, but Ukrainian direction deserves special attention. Border guards re are on heightened duty because on ir side people often go to border unmarked," Anatoly Lappo told Belta. In dition, he said, re have been "situations of provocations and insults to our state symbols. We have eugh forces and means to protect our state border,"  he of department asserted. 

Lukashenko imposes 'terrorism' alert in Belarus

Belarusian authoritarian leer Lukashenko this week also placed Minsk on what is being reported as a "heightened terrorism alert" due to looming tensions on border with Ukraine. Belarus' dictator warned West t to corner nuclear-armed Russia, as he commanded deployment of Belarusian armed forces jointly with Russian forces on Ukrainian border.

US in view of recent developments asserted that it is planning to impose crippling sanctions on ally nations to Moscow which supports latter with ammunition during ongoing hostilities in Ukraine.  At a briefing, Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally eyemo said that Biden ministration is preparing to impose such a crackdown on Russia's allies. Belarusian leer meanwhile ordered his country on heightened terror alert. He is also accused of providing his country's soil as  staging ground for an attack on Ukraine in  largest invasion of EU since WWII. Lukashenko also covertly conducted a small-scale mobilisation to "man up existing combat units" as tension with Ukraine on border worsened.
