Amid ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, chief of Ukraine's state nuclear power company Energoatom, Petro Kotin went to visit one of segments of Red Forest in Cherbyl's exclusion zone and discovered, along with specialist, that riation in region is "abrmally high". It is place where Russian soldiers dug ditches and attempted to build fortifications. Energoatom stated in a Telegram mess that in area "abrmally high rates of riation were recorded".
According to CNN, Kotin clarified that external irriation levels were 10-15 times greater than usual, while internal riation acquired from contact with surface of soil might be 160 times higher than rmal.

Furrmore, Telegram mess stated that following 1986 Cherbyl nuclear disaster, ar cause of internal irriation is Alpha contamination which has been generated as a consequence of fragments of irriated nuclear fuel, graphite masonry strewn across this portion of Red Forest. It went on to say, “se fragments are w located at a depth of 40-80 centimeters, while occupiers dug deeper. When inside human body, this of riation has an effect tens and hundreds of times more powerful than that from gamma and beta riation."
mess furr revealed, “So all occupiers who were based in and entrenched in Red Forest, in almost 30 days, should expect riation sickness of varying degrees of severity," CNN reported.

Energoatom also claimed in a different statement that Russian military which h captured Cherbyl plant's site has 'looted and destroyed' Institute for Nuclear Safety's offices and laboratory. Russian troops have robbed gars with cars used to transport scientists to research areas, stole computers and office equipment, shattered or damd laboratory equipment and measuring instruments, company ded.

In dition to this, Energoatom h earlier declared that Russian forces who captured Cherbyl nuclear power plant on February 24 left plant and jacent exclusion zones on March 31. Earlier in day, a US official stated that Russian forces have commenced retiring from Cherbyl plant. According to media reports, official revealed, "Cherbyl is area where y are starting to move some of ir troops. Soldiers are going away from Cherbyl to Belarus."

Following departure of Russian forces, Ukrainian flag was raised over Cherbyl. Energoatom h ted in a statement on Telegram, “Today, April 2, at 11:00, Ukrainian flag was raised over Cherbyl NPP and anm was sung,” as per CNN.
