EU counters Russia claim, says 'sanctions didn't prohibit' turbine's delivery from Germany
Nord Stream 1 Turbine: EU rejected Russian claims that sanctions imposed by the EU are impeding the delivery of the Siemens turbine from Germany to Russia.

Amid escalating tension between Western countries and Russia over its invasion of Ukraine, European Commission rejected Russian claims that sanctions imposed by European Union are impeding delivery of Siemens turbine from Germany to Russia. EU Commission asserted that re are no obstacles to return of Nord Stream 1 turbine to Russia.
EU rejects Russia's claim, says no sanctions prohibit delivery of turbine back from Germany
Eric Mamer, chief spokesperson of European Commission, averred that no sanctions prohibit delivery of turbine after Russian gas giant Gazprom refused to take back turbine. "re is nothing in sanctions that prohibits turbines." Gazprom refused to take back turbine, claiming that turbine’s delivery would violate sanctions.

This development comes after Russian state-owned Gazprom cut flows through Nord Stream 1 pipeline to Germany to one-fifth of capacity. A move that Moscow claims was necessary because turbine h not been returned after being sent out for maintenance. state-run gas company has stated that EU sanctions have me delivery of a Siemens engine to Nord Stream Portovaya compressor station impossible.
It is pertinent to mention here that Germany and EU have denied Russia's claim, arguing that re is no justification for slowing flow of gas and that Moscow's moves were politically motivated following EU sanctions over Kremlin's "unprovoked and unjustified" invasion of Ukraine. Meanwhile, some EU officials have accused Russia of using energy supplies as a weapon against European bloc.

Ever since Kremlin leer Vlimir Putin ordered war against neighbouring Ukraine, it has united Western nations to stand in favour of Ukraine. For same reason, Russia has significantly reduced gas deliveries through Nord Stream 1, and Gazprom has justified this act by blaming absence of turbine, which h been sent to Cana for maintenance.
