Nasdaq exchange to stop working with Russian investors from April 29 amid Ukraine crisis
In the wake of the ongoing conflict in Europe, Nasdaq Inc. said that its stock exchanges in the US and Nordic countries will cease to operate with Russians.

In wake of ongoing humanitarian conflict in Europe, Nasdaq Inc. said that its stock exchanges in United States and Nordic countries will cease to operate with Russian investors. Starting April 29, company will automatically cancel any active subscription to Nasdaq data, Danish Investment bank Saxo said to its customers. “New subscriptions will not be available from April 29,” bank said in letter published on Sunday.

For such positions, client will receive pending quotes until y are closed. However, restrictions would not affect investments me through Russian brokers. Notably, amidst increasing western sanctions, Putin ministration h banned foreigners to sell shares at Moscow Stock Exchange until April 1.

Russian economy is facing a major fall due to ongoing war and its implications including sanctions imposed on country by world. Russian government has attempted to stabilize market situation by taking measures like injecting up to $10 billion from its sovereign wealth fund into local stocks. However, such moves fail to reverse economic decline as impact of war has been heavy on country’s financial side.

Late last month, Russian President Vlimir Putin announced that "unfriendly" countries will have to pay in rubles for Russian gas from April 1.
