Netherlands' Breda Court releases 2 Ukrainian inmates to fight Russian army in Ukraine war
Ukrainian prisoners were released from a court in Breda so that they could fight against Russia's forces. The 2 men were believed to be in custody for 6 months.

Both men hail from Lutsk, a city in rthwest Ukraine, and two were arrested last September on a yacht after y tried to abduct a group of Albanians into UK. A lawyer defending two men appealed to court previously to grant ir release so that y could go back home and fight against Russian invasion. court granted ir release, considering that situation was of “special and serious circumstances” and ting that two men were “insistent” to go home to fight. conditions in Ukraine worsened amidst warfare and se conditions led war-torn country to release people who were in pre-trial detention centers.

Conditions for pre-trial detention
As per Euractiv, two men were released on certain conditions; y must avoid committing any or offences, return to ir pre-trial detention if requested by court, and, if required, carry out ir sentences if court still decides to sentence m. Meanwhile, in late February, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy decided to release inmates to fight war against Russia. “Under martial law, Ukrainians with real combat experience will be released from custody and will be able to compensate for ir guilt in hottest spots of conflict,” Zelenskyy said.

Although, war has claimed many lives, and destroyed major infrastructure, and resources in Ukraine, President Zelenskyy and his armed forces have put up a brave fight as country refused to get bogged down by intensifying Russian aggression.
