Amid worldwide condemnation over war in Ukraine, Russian President Vlimir Putin is set to host 2022 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 17. Kremlin chief will partake in plenary session on Thursday evening and deliver a keynote dress. He will also answer questions from participants at Moscow's showpiece investment-garing event, TASS news agency reported, citing Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
2022 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) comes against backdrop of a diplomatic boycott of event by US. In a statement, US State Department spokesperson Ned Price earlier this week announced that Washington will not participate in economic forum hosted by Moscow "in any capacity." As per trition, Putin will meet with all foreign leers and discuss "complicated" global economic scenario. Meanwhile, meetings with hes of global news agencies have been struck off from list in response to "present-day realities."
