Germany Ecomy Minister Robert Habeck has accused Russian energy corporation Gazprom of carrying out "an ecomic attack" on his nation. He called reduction in gas supplies through rd Stream 1 an "attack" on Germany, DailyMail reported. Habeck said that Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted to "create chaos" in European gas market by slashing supply of gas to Poland, Bulgaria and or European nations.

Germany preparing for second phase of natural gas emergency plan
Meanwhile, Germany is making preparations to begin second phase of its natural gas emergency plan within five to 10 days, RT cited Die Welt report. According to German Ecomic Ministry's three-st plan, "alarm phase" is implemented when gas supply is "halted" or excessive demand for gas causing "significant deterioration of gas supply situation." However, market still mans to handle halt of supply or demand without requiring to initiate steps for "n-market based measures." Federal Association of Energy and Water Industries did t share details regarding implementation of emergency plan. Gas regulator Bundesnetzntur had informed about details of auction system set to be launched in coming weeks which has been devised to reduce use of natural gas among manufacturers.
German Ecomy Minister calls on people to reduce use of energy
Earlier on 19 June, German Ecomy Minister Robert Habeck anunced that country will limit use of natural gas for electricity production to compensate for a drop in supply from Russia, according to AP. He furr said that government will need to increase burning of coal. Robert Habeck said that stor facilities in Germany are presently at 56.7% capacity and y will be able to make up for drop in supply from Russia by buying energy from elsewhere, according to AP. He urged people in Germany to reduce use of energy amid ongoing supply situation.
