Russia calls on US and EU 'to force Ukraine to stop shelling' Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Plant
Ukraine on Sunday accused Russian forces of shelling near the Zaporizhzhia NPP. Russian officials, on the other hand, accused Kyiv of launching attacks.

Russia, on Monday, called on United States, European Union and or countries to stop 'intrigues' around Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) and force Kyiv to stop shelling plant, according to Russian news ncy TASS.
Director of Information and Press Department of Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, said, "We strongly urge Washington, Brussels and or capitals, primarily European ones, to stop irresponsible games and intrigues around ZNPP and immediately influence Kyiv authorities to force m to stop shelling plant and its adjacent territories."
"EU delegation to international organisations in Vienna issued a joint statement by a number of countries, which became a biased informational stuffing about threats to nuclear and physical security of ZNPP," Zakharova was quoted by TASS as saying. She furr added that it is indisputable that strikes on station and Energodar, a city in rth-western part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, are carried out by Ukrainian armed groups on orders from Kyiv.

Meanwhile, Ukraine on Sunday accused Russian forces of shelling near Zaporizhzhia plant, while Russian officials, on or hand, denied allegations. Ukrainian mayor said that those risks are "increasing every day" at nuclear power plant in Russian-occupied city that has seen shelling in nearby areas in recent days.
EU, or nations urge Russian Forces to pull out from Zaporizhzhia
While both Russia and Ukraine are accusing each or of carrying out shelling attacks around nuclear plant, at least 42 countries, including EU on Sunday asked Russia to withdraw its troops from Zaporizhzhia NPP in view that war near facility could lead to safety hazards and disrupt safe operation of nuclear plant. It was also asserted that fight in vicinity of ZNPP is t only a gross violation of international law and UN Charter, but also endangers principles of nuclear safety.

countries have also appealed to Russian military forces to withdraw from Zaporizhzhia NPP as it is obstructing operator from carrying out essential safety operations of plant.
