Russia makes marginal progress in Kharkiv, Severodonetsk remains its main target: UK MoD

The British Defence Ministry said that Russia's operational effort continues to carry out an assault on the Severodonetsk in Donetsk.

As war between Russia and Ukraine escalates, UK Defence Ministry issued latest intelligence update about ongoing situation in war-torn nation. Defence Ministry said that Russia's operational effort continues to assault Severodonetsk in Donbass. It furr said that Western group of Russian armed forces have been able to make small vances in Kharkiv region. British Defence Ministry ted that Russian forces have been able to make small vances for first time in several weeks. 

"Russia's operational main effort remains assault against Sieverodonetsk pocket in Donbas and its Western Group of forces have likely me small vances in Kharkiv sector for first time in several weeks, UK Defence Ministry said in latest intelligence update.

According to British Defence Ministry, First Deputy Chairman of Russia's Military-Industrial Commission predicted that state defence expenditure will increase by 600-700 billion rubles. It also ted that Russian government spending will enable Moscow's defence industrial base to be slowly mobilised to meet requirements caused by war between Russia and Ukraine. UK MoD stressed that Russian defence industry might face difficulties in fulfilling many of its needs, partially due to sanctions imposed by EU nations against Russia and lack of expertise. It also said that Russia's production of high-quality optics and vanced electronics likely remains affected and it could le to issues in efforts that y are making to replace equipment lost in Ukraine. 

'Russian forces want to destroy Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia': Zelenskyy

As Russia-Ukraine war transcended 110th day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy anunced that Ukrainian forces have pushed back Russian troops from Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Chernihiv and Sumy regions. In his late-night dress on 13 June, Zelenskyy stated that a large part of Kharkiv region has been liberated and more than a thousand settlements have been liberated. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russian armed forces have halted ir military offensive in sourn Ukraine. He claimed that Russian forces seek to destroy Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and cities of Dnipropetrovsk region. He furr said, "We are dealing with absolute evil. And we have choice but to move on. Free our entire territory. Drive occupiers out of all our regions."
