Switzerland rejects Denmark & Germany's requests to supply indigenous weapons to Ukraine

In a major setback for Ukraine, Switzerland has rejected the requests of Denmark and Germany to supply Swiss-made armoured personnel carriers to Ukraine.

In a major setback for Ukraine, Switzerland has rejected requests of Denmark and Germany to supply Swiss-me armoured personnel carriers to Ukraine. According to a report by European Truth, Swiss government has rejected proposal citing neutrality law that bans export of war material to a country at war. report mentioned that German government has requested transfer of 2,400 Swiss-me 35mm ammunitions for Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns and Piranha III armoured personnel carrier. weapons were originally purchased by Copenhn and have been stored in Berlin after ir decommissioning.

According to Switzerland weapon law, which is also kwn as 'War Material Act,'  arms and ammunition produced in country must t be used as war material due to country's stance to remain neutral at time of conflict. In or words, act bans transfer of Swiss-me weapons systems, ammunition and or war material to a country involved in an international conflict. Swiss ministration underscored that Russia and Ukraine are involved in conflict and, refore, y would t hour transfer of Swiss-me weapons to battleground.

Zelenskyy on several occasions demanded supply of vanced weapons  

tably, Friday, June 3, marked 100th day of ongoing relentless war. Ever since onset of conflict, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his counterparts from or countries have been pitching ir voices at several international platforms for supply of vanced weapons to ir country. Earlier in May, President Zelenskyy, during his "signature style" of dressing his country, h said re was way to win war except Ukrainian soldiers were given more and more vanced weapons that could deter aggression of Russian forces.

Earlier this week, US President Joe Biden anunced delivery of vanced weapons to war-battled nation. However, Biden bulldozed expectations and demands of Ukraine by stating, "We are t shipping rocket systems that can strike into Russia." It means range of rocket system is quite diminutive as expected. Earlier multiple media reports claimed that US would dispatch rockets which could target around 300 kilometres. Later, it was clarified that range of such weapons would be only 70km.
