UK MoD claims Russian forces trying to regain momentum on northern Izium axis amid war

Amid the war between Russia and Ukraine, the UK Defence Ministry stated that the focus of Russian forces remains on the Severodonetsk-Lysychansk pocket.

Russian forces to rely more on its reserve forces over coming weeks, UK Defence Ministry said in latest intelligence update. British Defence Ministry stated that focus of Russian forces remains on Severodonetsk-Lysychansk pocket. It furr said that Russian forces have been trying to regain momentum on rrn Izium axis. 

"While Russia’s main operational focus remains Sieverodonetsk-Lysychansk pocket, a week of consistently heavy shelling suggests Russia is w trying to regain momentum on rrn Izium axis," UK Defence Ministry said in statement.

According to UK Defence Ministry, Ukrainian troops continue to "hold line" in region and use forested terrain in ir defence. British intelligence said that Russian forces will rely on reserve forces which consist of distinct components that Russia has alrey started to field. UK Defence Ministry in statement ded, "Russia’s Combat Army Reserve is a recent invation of part-time but volunteer reservists, which deploy as whole units typically ear-marked for rear area security tasks." According to United Kingdom intelligence, Russian government has been using volunteers from Human Mobilisation Resource to fill out third battalions in regular briges. 

UK PM & French President Macron agree to increase support for Ukraine

As war between Russia and Ukraine continues to escalate, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and French President Emmanuel Macron agreed to increase support for war-torn nation. On sidelines of Group of Seven (G7) Summit in Germany, two leers discussed ongoing situation in Ukraine and stressed that "this is a critical moment for course of conflict, and re is an opportunity to turn tide in war," according to statement released by UK government.  During meeting, Boris Johnson laid emphasis on fact that any attempt to settle conflict w will only cause enduring instability. According to him, action would provide Russian President Vlimir Putin with license to manipulate both sovereign nations and "international markets in perpetuity." French President Emmanuel Macron appreciated British PM's ongoing military support to Ukraine and leers agreed to ramp up this work.

"Both Prime Minister and President Macron stressed need to support Ukraine to strengn ir hand in both war and any future negotiations," UK government anunced in a statement.
