Ukraine's chief negotiator confirms 'Kyiv may resume peace talks with Russia in August'
Ukrainian chief negotiator David Arakhamiya said that Ukraine might resume talks with Russia at the end of August after conducting counterattacks.

Ukrainian chief negotiator, David Arakhamiya, has said that Ukraine might resume talks with Russia at end of August. Arakhamiya said that Ukraine might resume talks with Moscow after conducting counterattacks. He claimed that Ukraine will have strengned its position by end of August, Ukrinform reported citing Voice of America statement of Arakhamiya comes as war between Russia and Ukraine continues for more than 110 days.
David Arakhamiya highlighted that Ukraine will carry out operation with counterattacks in different places and did not reveal details. He said that agreement with Russia can be considered if Ukrainian forces move Russian troops out of Ukraine.

Earlier on June 16, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that negotiations between Russia and Ukraine were not taking place due to Russia's position, as per news report. negotiations between Russia and Ukraine started shortly after Russia launched a military offensive in Ukraine. Notably, last face-to-face meeting between delegations of Russia and Ukraine took place in Istanbul in March.
Russia blames Ukraine for halting peace talks with Moscow
Meanwhile, Vlimir Medinsky, he of Russian delegation at talks, said that negotiation between Moscow and Kyiv has been "frozen" by Ukrainian side. He claimed that 75% of text was agreed upon by Russia and Ukraine in mid-April and submitted to Kyiv for approval.

Vlimir Medinsky stated that Russia has received no response from Ukraine, RT reported. Speaking on sidelines of SPIEF, he stressed that Ukrainian government does not work for ir national interests, however, it operates "from position of or countries".
Medinsky said that leers of United States, like Secretary of State Department and Pentagon chief as well as or leers of western nations, did not agree to give Ukraine guarantees international security.

Earlier on 15th June, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Maria Zakharova said that peace talks between Russia and Ukraine have been halted by Kyiv on orders "given by ir American handlers", TASS reported. Speaking on sidelines of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Zakharova said that Ukraine needs to speak about "what y did with talks", TASS reported.
She claimed that talks with Russia were halted by Ukraine on orders from US handlers and also stressed that Moscow was willing to continue talks.
