US Defense Dept has decided to help Ukraine to maintain the "right balance" by supplying Soviet-era weapons along with the Western model's arms to Ukraine

As battle between Russia and Ukraine continues to intensify with sign of a peace agreement from eir side, crisis is slowly taking a new direction. US Defense Department has decided to help Ukraine to maintain "right balance" by supplying Soviet-era weapons along with Western model's arms to war-hit Ukraine. On Saturday, Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby stated during a press briefing that we want to make sure that right balance is maintained in this war, and Ukrainian armed forces must get systems to which y are accustomed, as well as systems y need.

"We want to make sure that right balance is maintained here, and y ( Armed Forces, ed.) get systems to which y are accustomed, as well as systems y need, use of which does t reduce ir combat reiness on ground," Kirby stated.

According to a Pentagon spokesperson, war in Ukraine is becoming increasingly artillery-centric, with modernised weapons being sent to Ukraine, and a significant amount of time is being invested in training Ukrainian soldiers to use said weapons, which will result in withdrawal of soldiers from battlefield. He recalled initial days of war when Western partners delivered Soviet weapons to Ukraine that Ukrainian military was familiar with. "re is still a need for that... I mean, y still use se systems," he said.

Meanwhile, a report has emerged that Ukrainian armed forces have mand to eliminate over 34000 Russian troops eliminated since onset of conflict. In its daily update, Ukrainian armed forces have claimed that defenders have killed as many as 34,850 Russian soldiers since February 24.
