President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday stated that situation around Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has significantly deteriorated. Zelenskyy me this remark while dressing nation’s citizens during a night speech. He said that y will insist on fresh sanctions against Russia for posing such a worldwide threat and will “draw world's attention to this”. Furr, embattled President asserted, “Russian terrorists became first in world to use a nuclear plant for terror. biggest in Europe!”
Speaking about new sanction measures from Cana and United States against Russia, he hailed Switzerland for its support to seventh European Union sanctions package. President even said, “ general tendency to strengn sanctions remains unchanged and will continue increasing price for this terror, terror against our people, for terrorist state.”

Besides this, President also appreciated and thanked Ukrainian troops for heroic efforts y are making to keep back enemy in most dangerous areas of frontline. He claimed, “ Russian army will not change its tactics.” He asserted at night dress that enemy is relying on artillery and indiscriminate shelling since invers are aware that y would be defeated by Ukrainians in a direct confrontation because y are less skilled.
IAEA he expressed concern about bombardment of Zaporizhzhia NPP
Meanwhile, Rafael Mariano Grossi, director general of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), expressed his grave concern about shelling of Zaporizhzhia NPP in Ukraine. He cautioned that attack highlights very real possibility of a nuclear accident, which may endanger environment and human health in Ukraine and beyond. Grossi urged everyone to show restraint within nuclear site and condemned violent acts committed at or close to nuclear power plant, including against agency employees.

According to media reports, Grossi said in a statement, “I strongly and urgently appeal to all parties to exercise utmost restraint in vicinity of this important nuclear facility, with its six reactors".

According to IAEA statement, he emphasised that Ukrainian employees operating facility must be given freedom to carry out ir crucial jobs without being threatened or under any pressure. Grossi urged IAEA to be present to offer technical assistance for nuclear safety and security in order to stop situation from getting furr worse.
