Russian Acting Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov condemned the US for pulling out of the Iran nuclear deal saying that "Americans decided to implement their own rules" and were forcing everyone else to follow them.

"They simply pulled out of this comprehensive plan and not only stopped fulfilling their obligations, but prohibited everyone else from trading with Iran," Lavrov said while also criticising Britain, France and Germany for caving in to US pressure to impose a trade embargo on Iran.

Lavrov also commented on the strain in Russian-Polish relations, saying that Polish officials were trying to convince Western leaders to take their side regarding Russia's role in WWII at an upcoming Holocaust remembrance ceremony in Jerusalem.
