Russo brothers to crhronicle decades-long rivalry between Marvel and DC in a series

Key creative members of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Anthony and Joseph Russo, will launch a new series documenting decades-long rivalry between Marvel & DC.

Key creative members of  Marvel Cinematic Universe, Anthony and Joseph Russo, are all set to launch a new series documenting years-long rivalry between Marvel and DC. series titled Slugfest will be available in Quibi, a mobile TV subscription start-up established by Jeffrey Katzenberg. According to reports, Slugfest is inspired by Reed Tucker’s book Slugfest: Inside Epic. documentary series is produced by Russo Brors who has directed several hits for Marvel like Avengers: Endgame, Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America: Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War.

series will document growth of comic books as a new American art form, following rise of two companies that went on to become comics-publishing and Hollywood powerhouses. producers have promised that Slugfest will bring to light little kwn stories about Marvel and DC, that includes interviews of creators of best-kwn superhero characters. series will be directed by Don Argott and Sheena M. Joyce, who are behind award-winning documentaries Believer and Framing John DeLorean.  series will be funded by Todd Makurath, Peter Rieveschl,  Nick Gilhool, and Jen Casey.

In September it was anunced that two will receive International Cinematographers Guild Publicists Motion Picture Showman of Year Award at 57th Annual Publicists awards ceremony scheduled to be held next year.

Quibi is slated to roll out next spring, with April 6 as official launch date. It will cost $5 (with s) or $8 (without s) per month for premium content produced in episodic chunks of 10 minutes or less.
