Washington: The suspect, arrested in connection with the recent shooting incident in former US President Donald Trump 's vicinity in Forida on Sunday, has a criminal history that spans several decades.  

The suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh (58) is accused of attempting to shoot the Republican Presidential with an AK-47-style rifle has plenty arrest record. The 58-year-old was nabbed shortly after the shooting incident at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. As per authorities, the Secret Service agents opened fired at him after spotting the muzzle of his weapon pointing through a chain-link fence one hole ahead of where Trump was playing.

This incident is being probed as an apparent assassination attempt on Donald Trump. If reports are to be believed then Routh is a staunch supporter of Ukraine. Reports suggested that he even flew to Kyiv to fight in the ongoing war against Russia. Reports further claimed that after reaching the Ukraine capital, he assisted in recruiting people to participate in the Russia-Ukraine war.

  • Some reports claim that in 2002, Routh was arrested after he barricaded himself in his roofing company's office during a three-hour standoff that followed a traffic stop in which he put his hand on a gun before fleeing.
  • The 58-year-old moved to Hawaii in 2017.
  • Reports suggest that he owns a construction company in Hawaii that builds housing structures for homeless people.
