Saudi Arabia greatly values India's support to the Palestinian people to regain their legitimate rights, Saudi envoy Saud Mohammed Al-Sati said on Wednesday.

Saudi Arabia greatly values India's support to Palestinian people to regain ir legitimate rights, Saudi envoy Saud Mohammed Al-Sati said on Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi h last month expressed hope for an early resumption of talks between Israel and Palestine to move towards a comprehensive and negotiated resolution, as he reiterated India's "strong support" for Palestinian cause.

PM Modi in a mess h extended his best wishes to Palestinian people "in ir pursuit of statehood, peace, and prosperity". Al-Sati, who was speaking at an event to observe Day organized by Indian Council of World Affairs, said Saudi Arabia "greatly values" support of India to Palestinian people to regain ir legitimate rights.

Saudi Envoy, Palestine Ambassor praises India

"This valuable support has been reiterated by recent mess of prime minister of India on International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People," he said.

Al-Sati was joined by Ambassor of State of Palestine nan MJ Abualhayjaa. Abualhayjaa also appreciated support of Indian government and or countries who expressed solidarity with Palestinian people.

"We renew our deepest gratitude and appreciation to people and government of India and to all countries, governments and organizations and people that have expressed ir solidarity with Palestinian people, supported ir struggle and strengned determination and stefastness in ir bleakest hours across history," Abualhayjaa said.

PM Modi was first Indian Prime Minister to make an official visit to Palestine last year. During his historic visit to war torn region, two sides h signed agreements worth around $50 million that included setting up of a $30 million super specialty hospital.

Hitting out at US, Abualhayjaa said it was seen again that US ministration violated international law and proved it is unqualified to be an honest broker. "Two weeks ago, US Secretary of State declared that Israeli settlements in occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, do t contravene international law. This position was rejected by us and by international community at large," he said, ding, "This statement is null and void, is illegitimate and without legal effect, and stands in complete contravention of international law and UN resolutions, including Security Council resolutions."

Al-Sati said Saudi Arabia also condemned anuncement by US. "Saudi Foreign minister reaffirmed kingdom's rejection of US position and stressed need to find a just solution to issue," he said.

Israel has built about 140 settlements since its occupation of West Bank and East Jerusalem in 1967. settlements are widely considered illegal under international law. US recently said that it longer believes Israeli settlements are illegal.
