Saudi Arabia Rights Accord raises concerns in UN Human Rights Council
During the second joint statement at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, nearly two dozen European countries have raised concerns about Saudi rights accord.

During joint statement at United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, nearly two dozen European countries have evidently raised concerns of Saudi rights record. On September 23, y discussed reported torture, unlawful detentions and unjust trials which include many women activists and journalists in Saudi Arabia. This was second joint statement by council in six months. first criticism of human rights in Saudi Arabia happened in forum in March.

Statement by Western countries
In new statement by Western countries, y urged Saudi authorities to prove truth behind murder of journalist, Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul in October in order to ensure investigation of those who were responsible. Countries that signed statement were all fifteen European Union members including Britain and Germany along with Cana, New Zealand and Peru. However, reportedly, France, Italy, and Spain did t sign. This joint statement also ackwledged reforms me in Saudi Arabia like restrictions on rights of women travel which will be removed.

Reportedly, Australia's ambassor has expressed concerns over human rights situation in Saudi Arabia. He furr said that civil society actors in Saudi Arabia still face intimidation. Moreover, delegations were concerned with reports of torture n disappearances that violate human rights of people along with ir families. United Nations expert, Agnes Callamard spoke on extrajudicial executions happening worldwide. According to Callamard, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman along with or senior officials should be investigated evidently as per reports he received in June.

Saudi response
Even though re was immediate response by Saudi delegation which is a part of 47 member states of United Nations rights council. Kingdom's delegation was allegedly absent from room when statement was re out to members. Moreover, Saudi Arabia has repeatedly denied all accusations of torture and unjust detention that are allegedly happening in country. Furrmore, on Callamard's allegations of involvement of Saudi Crown Prince and need to investigate based on a report, a minister in Riyh purportedly rejected report. Saudi minister believes that report has thing except baseless allegations.
