According to research released on February 17 at annual Ocean Sciences Meeting in San Diego, it was revealed that climate change could destroy all remaining coral reefs by end of century. It was found that increase in ocean temperatures poses a huge threat to corals. According to study, warmer temperatures boost m to release symbiotic algae that bleach m making m vulnerable and puts m at higher risk of death.

research team was heed by Renee Setter, a biogeographer at University of Hawaii Maa. Setter revealed that most parts of ocean where reefs currently exist would t be able to survive by 2045 based on a model that simulated increased surface temperature, acidity, pollution, and overfishing. Setter said that cleaning up bleaches and trying to fight pollution are only results to make m survive. Setter furr ded that we need to continue se efforts and at end of day combating climate change is only action we can take in order to prevent corals.

Climate change could wipe out coral reefs
Setter furr said that climate change could wipe out coral reefs by 2100 and most of sites inhabited with corals are out. He said that only a small region of Baja California and Red Sea are among areas estimated to remain viable. Setter said that majority of dam is due to result of ocean acidification and rising temperatures. He also ded that re has been a significant increase in human pollution and humans have done eugh dam to reefs that re are few sites left to impact.
