Selena's family were immigrants from Mexico

Selena furr said in write up that her aunt came to US by hiding in back of a truck. Later her grandparents followed and her far was born in Texas which ultimately gave her country's citizenship by birth. She ded that she wonders about immigration "every day," and that she never happens to take fortune of being born in her country for granted. star went on to say that her concern is t about political issues regarding immigration. It is rar real people's lives that worries her. She feels ir pain and empathises with m. Concluding her piece on immigration, she said that how we treat our fellow human beings defines who we are.

"It is a human issue, affecting real people, dismantling real lives. How we deal with it speaks to our humanity, our empathy, our compassion. How we treat our fellow human beings defines who we are," Gomez said.
