Seoul investigates a traffic accident involving BTS superstar Jungkook

The Seoul police informed on November 4, that they are investigating a case filed against one of the members of the K-pop superstar group BTS, who met with a traffic accident. The police informed that the superstar and his taxi driver suffered minor injuries. 

BTS singer Jungkook accepted his fault

The 22-year-old BTS singer Jungkook accepted his fault and that the accident took place due to the violation of the traffic laws. The singer made a settlement with the driver. The BTS agency,  Big Hit Entertainment confirmed that the singer and the driver suffered minor injuries. In a statement that was emailed by the BTS agency to the international media, they apologized on behalf of the star to the victims and fans who suffered the plight of the accident.

Seoul Police is investigating the case

The Seoul police officer who is investigating the case said that the accident was categorized as a minor accident as there was no human or property damage. The anonymous police officer further confirmed that it was not a case of drunk driving or any other serious violations. The police said that Jungkook was booked and they are investigating the accident under the violation of traffic laws.

Police will soon summon the superstar

On the other hand, the South Korean media that Jungkook and the taxi driver were injured with minor bruises. They said that Jungkook has violated unknown traffic rules while he was driving his Mercedes Benz which collided with a Seoul taxi. Another media agency said that the Seoul police will soon summon the superstar to interrogate regarding the accident. BTS is the most famous first K-pop act which received immense love from its fans and tops the Billboard Album with its latest release “Love Yourself: Tear.”

K-pop and the BTS

K-pop is a genre of popular music which originates from South Korea. The word K-pop is a short term for Korean popular or Korean pop. K-pop is a musical genre composed of several other genres including dance, hip-hop, rock and R&B songs. BTS is also known as the Bangtan Boys. It is a seven-member South Korean boy band which was formed in Seoul in 2013. The group was formed under the Big Hit Entertainment and released their debut single, 2 Cool 4 Skool. According to reports, their lyrics often touch on themes of mental health, troubles of school-age youth, and individualism. They are popular for their live performances. Their fans are usually called ‘BTS Army’
