Singapore: Over 600 migrant workers test positive for coronavirus
Singapore confirmed an additional 618 cases of coronavirus on April 25 saying most of them are work permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories

Singapore confirmed an ditional 618 cases of coronavirus on April 25 saying most of m are work permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories. Singapore’s Ministry of Health said in a statement that only seven of ditional COVID-19 patients are permanent residents.
South Asian nation has reported 12,693 confirmed cases of coronavirus so far with 12 fatalities. number of new cases in community has witnessed a decline from an aver of 31 cases per day in week before, to an aver of 25 per day in past week.

Decline in unlinked cases in community
Health Ministry h said that number of unlinked cases in community also decreased from an aver of 20 cases per day in week before, to an aver of 17 cases per day in past week. ministry ded that it will continue to closely monitor se numbers as well as cases detected through ir surveillance programme.

However, ministry highlighted that number of new cases amongst Work Permit holders residing outside dormitories has continued to increase. Such cases increased from an aver of 19 cases per day in week before, to an aver of 28 per day in past week.

Earlier on April 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked to Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong and exchanged views on evolving situation of coronavirus pandemic. Taking to Twitter, PM Modi said that he thanked Hsien Loong over phone call for support extended by Singapore to Indian citizens during health crisis.
