South Korea reports 500 new Coronavirus cases, death toll rises to 22

South Korea reported over 500 new Coronavirus cases pushing the worldwide toll past 4,000. According to reports, four more people died on March 1.

South Korea reported nearly 500 new coronavirus cases on Monday, sending largest national total in world outside China past 4,000. Meanwhile, Korea Centres for Disease Control and Prevention reportedly anunced that four more people h died taking nationwide death toll to 22. South Korea, w, has second-highest number of infected cases after China, international media reported.

country’s central bank has reportedly warned citizens of negative growth in first quarter of year and said that both exports and consumption will be affected by virus outbreak. South Korea, currently, is world’s 12th largest ecomy. Meanwhile, dely virus has killed over 4,000 people and infected over 88,000 people hitting more than 30 countries across globe, international media reported.

90 per cent cases emerged in Daegu

Korea Centres for Disease Control and Prevention reportedly confirmed that more than 90 per cent of cases of vel Coronavirus in South Korea emerged in Daegu, a province in rth Gyeongsang. Like Wuhan City in China, Daegu has become South Korean epicentre of disease.

South Korea’s Vice Health Minister Kim Gang-lip warned country of upsurge in Coronavirus infections as health authorities scrambled to diagse members of Shincheonji religious group, international media reported.
