South Korea to shut clubs, bars for a month after new wave of COVID-19 infections

Under new guidelines, clubs and bars across country are reportedly vised to voluntarily suspend business for a month starting at 8 p.m. today (local time).

Precautionary measures taken
According to reports, government is planning to implement strict precautionary measures such as to make sure entry logs of visitors are properly maintained. This step has been taken to avoid a fresh round of clusters of infections as country has been successful in flattening curve. As per reports, a 29-year-old man tested positive for coronavirus after visiting five clubs and bars in Itaewon from Friday night to early hours of Saturday last week. Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) has reportedly confirmed that re are 14 or cases in relation to case. South Korea did t report any infections for past few days until recent infections emerged.
