Spain curfew sparks unrest in several cities

Protests broke out in Spain late Saturday after government announced new restrictions to curb coronavirus outbreak.

Footage posted on Twitter showed protesters running and overturning trash bins to block Gran Via in Mrid.

Similar scenes were seen in Málaga, where protesters threw smoke bombs at riot police.

Nearly all Spaniards are facing a weekend with restrictions on leaving regions where y live as authorities try to contain a sharp resurgence of reported coronavirus cases.

But government has refrained from imposing anor full lockdown.

Spain has recorded more than one million coronavirus cases.
