'Stay Strong Sri Lanka': Anupam Kher, Anil Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, Sonakshi Sinha and others react on the horrific Colombo blasts

Bollywood fraternity extends their prayers to Sri Lanka.

On Easter Sunday, the world woke up to a shocking news of bomb blasts in Colombo. Three churches- St Anthony's Church in Colombo, St Sebastian's Church in the western coastal town of Negombo and another church in the eastern town of Batticaloa and three hotels, the Shangrila, the Cinnamon Grand, and the Kingsbury were targeted, killing 185 people and injuring over 400, as per reports. There were two more blasts in Dematagoda and Dehiwala in the day, as per reports.

Bollywood celebrities have been pouring their heartfelt messages over the tragedy. Actor Anupam Kher, conveyed his grief and wrote on Twitter: "Deeply saddened by the loss of innocent lives in the terrible terrorist attacks in  #SriLanka. My heart goes out to the families who have lost their dear ones. Prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured.  Stay strong #SriLanka. We are all with you.πŸ™πŸ™" [sic]

Anil Kapoor too couldn't take in the news and raised a question condemning the attack on his Twitter 'When will we live in peace?'. He wrote: "How many more innocent lives will have to be lost like this? 
When will we live in peace? 
Stay strong #SriLanka. 
We are with you. πŸ™πŸ»" [sic]

'Kalank' actress Sonakshi Sinha too extended her prayers to the victims and their families and wrote: "Extremely saddened by the news coming in from Sri Lanka. Makes you question humanity... thoughts and prayers with all those affected #PrayForSriLanka" [sic]

Other Bollywood actors like Rajkummar Rao, Ileana D'Cruz, Preity Zinta, Suniel Shetty, Athiya Shetty too reacted on the Sri Lanka bombing. Read their tweets -

Meanwhile, Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has chaired a high-level security meeting pertaining to the attacks.

Reports have said that seven suspects were arrested by Sri Lankan Police on the same evening and three cops have been killed in the bombings.

Extending support to the people of Sri Lanka, PM Modi has also shared remarks on the horrifying blasts and offered prayers to the families of the victims and injured. He further stated that India stands in solidarity with the people of Sri Lanka.
