Storm Dennis brings a vessel abandoned in 2018 to the Irish coast
A ship which was abandoned by its crew in 2018 was at sea until February 16 when it washed up on the coast of Ireland after strong currents of Storm Dennis.

A 'ghost' ship which was abandoned by its crew in 2018 was at sea until February 16 when it washed up on coast of Ireland after strong currents of Storm Dennis rd over weekend. According to international reports, ship named as MV Alta cargo ship is believed to be originated from eir Tanzania or Panamanian was spotted in Ballycotton, County Cork.
Irish coast guard has said that ten-man crew was rescued from ship which h been onboard 77-metre freighter after it became disabled in October 2018. Even in September 2019, Royal Navy's Ice Patrol Ship h spotted about “abandoned Merchant vessel”.

Why was ship abandoned?
Before spending nearly a year abandoned at sea, ship was on its way from Greece to Haiti when according to international reports it got into some trouble and drifted for at least 20 days. As crew on board at time of incident rioed for help after a chronic short of food and water, a rescue mission was launched. crew members were taken off ship which was n about 2,220 kilometres off coast of Bermuda and since n it began to drift in eastern direction and w after facing Storm Dennis, ship has w crashed in Ireland.

According to international reports, Ballycotton RNLI Lifeboat Operations Manr John Tattan h told an Irish media house that such an incident is “one in a million”. Tattan furr expressed uniqueness of entire incident by mentioning that ship came “all way up from African coast, west of Spanish coast, west of English coast and up to Irish coast”. operations manr also confessed that he h t seen “anything like that before”.

Irish Coast Guard will w inspect ship and check wher it poses a threat to local environment. ship was spotted in Ballycotton after Meteorological Department issued a 'danger to life' warning ahe of weekend and also predicted heavy rain and strong winds across most of United Kingdom. According to international reports, Storm Dennis has deepened by more than 24 millibars in 24 hours which increases possibility of storm bringing a 'wear bomb' along with it.
