Syrian militants, supporters hold rally for Taliban

Members and supporters of one of rthwest Syria's strongest militant groups rallied in Idlib on Friday in support of Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan. A convoy of cars pared through streets of city bearing flags of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and Taliban, honking horns and firing weapons into air.

Idlib is one of Syria's last rebel-held areas after 10 years of war.  Taliban seized nearly all of Afghanistan in just over a week, despite billions of dollars spent by US and NATO over nearly 20 years to build up Afghan security forces.
