Taiwan will not press for participation at the World Health Assembly beginning on Monday, but will continue to donate medical supplies abroad, the foreign minister said.

Joseph Wu told reporters in Taipei that shortened nda for this year's WHA gives more time be devoted to concentrating on ways to control new coronavirus pandemic.

Taiwan agreed with suggestions that issue of its participation at forum be discussed at meetings later this year, once outbreak h been better contained, Wu said.
"After careful deliberation, we have accepted suggestion from our allies and like-minded nations to wait until resumed session before furr promoting our bid," Wu said.
