Taliban has revoked months-long ban on International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) in Afghanistan on Sunday, following talks with ICRC in Doha. According to reports, Taliban has given a guarantee of security for its staff workers who are doing humanitarian work in ir areas. y have agreed to new promises of humanitarian aid. As per reports, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said in a statement that, " Islamic Emirate restores former security guarantees to ICRC in Afghanistan and instructs all mujahideen to pave way for ICRC activities and be mindful of security to this committee’s workers and equipment."
Ban on Red Cross
Taliban h earlier temporarily imposed a ban on International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) in Afghanistan and World Health Organisation (WHO) in April this year. Taliban h stated that organizations were carrying out suspicious activities during vaccination campaigns. y h furr alleged that organizations are t sticking to ir declared missions. Even though ban on ICRC has been revoked, Taliban did t make any anuncement on lifting ban on WHO.

Revoking ban
As ban was revoked on September 15, he of International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation in Afghanistan, Schaerer Juan-Pedro stated that organization engs with bilateral and confidential relationships with all parties. Furr, human rights activist Linda Hemby also tweeted about revoking of ban.
