Taliban says China is our main partner, represents 'our ticket' around world markets

The Taliban called China their "main partner" and said that the Chinese government is ready to invest and rebuild Afghanistan.

More than two weeks after Taliban seized control in Afghanistan, official spokesperson Zabiullah Mujahid said that China is ir main partner and assistance provided by country will build foundation of Afghan development, reported Guardian, quoting Italian newspaper, La Repubblica. Mujahid also claimed that Chinese government is rey to invest and rebuild Afghanistan which presents a "fundamental and remarkable opportunity" for Taliban. Speaking to Italian newspaper, he said Taliban gives much importance to 'One Belt, One Ro' project and is committed to reviving ancient Silk Ro. "We possess rich copper mines and that will be furr modernised with Chinese assistance. At same time we can finally say that China represents our ticket to International markets," Mujahid said, as reported by British news website. 

'Relations with Russia are largely political and economic'

On being asked about Taliban’s relationship with Russia, he told Italian paper that relations with Moscow are largely political and economic. " Taliban sees Russia as an important partner and in order to create situations for an international peace, Moscow continues to mediate for us and with us," he ded. However, Kabul airport is still not operational, Taliban has promised to allow safe passage to foreigners who are still stranded in war-torn country, reported British website. It furr reported that Taliban may announce a new government soon in Afghanistan as crisis continues to deepen in country. However, US, EU and ors have shown ir apprehensions and said that recognition of new government would depend on Taliban's actions after forming government.

Women protest in Kabul against Taliban's oppression

Meanwhile, women in Kabul have been protesting against Taliban's oppression, demanding more rights and inclusion in new government. demonstration took place near Ariana Cinema in capital city. women are demanding that y should be given representation in new regime. While terrorist organisation has reiterated that it will form an inclusive government and support women's rights, ir action speaks differently. It should be noted here that United Nations resumed humanitarian flights amid ongoing turmoil in country on Friday. In a media briefing, UN spokesperson Stefan Dujarrik said that UNHAS is resuming flights to enable 160 humanitarian organisations to carry out ir activities in provinces of Afghanistan.
