Nerve-wrecking videos of a massive hailstorm that hit the Sunshine Coast in Australia's Queensland on 17 November are going viral on social media. The hail storm has caused massive damage to property, roads and vehicles.
Monster storm hits Queensland
The hail storm which struck the North of Brisbane recorded hailstones of the size of tennis balls. The video shows the hailstones causing extensive damage to parked cars and also high-rises. It is reported that the storm moved across southeast Queensland.

Another video features people in a state of panic trying to find shelter in the Currimundi Woolworths located on the Sunshine Coast. Videos of a departmental store staff trying to protect his stock and financial registers while water gushing through the roof have also gone viral.

The massive damage caused by the storm
The hail storm that lasted for about thirty minutes damaged several homes, business establishments and cars. It was reported that the storm caused $100,000’s worth of damage .The videos and pictures of the monster storm are going viral on social media. People are extensively sharing their stories of horror and damage on social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook, making it clear that it was a completely out-of-the-ordinary incident. To make matters worse, the meteorological department said that such storms will not bring any relief from the bushfires that have caused destruction in various parts of the state.
