Thailand students choose to boycott graduation in support of monarchy reform campaign
In Thailand, pro-democracy student protesters have found yet another way to peacefully support the reform movement, by not attending their own graduation.

In Thailand, pro-democracy student protesters have found yet ar way to stand up to king and demand reform to monarchy. student protesters boycotted ir gruation for second day in a row on Saturday, October 31.
While a small group of royalists welcomed Thai king and queen during university gruation event, many students lined up for photos from cut-outs of prominent critics of monarchy in dition to some deciding to boycott gruation ceremony altoger.

Peaceful support for reform campaign
As per reports, gruation ceremony which was attended by Thai royals was taking place at Thammasat University amid significant police presence on campus as well as in vicinity of campus. Authorities feared that students attending ceremony would try to embarrass royals.

Many students who were aware of Thai monarch's presence at gruation ceremony chose to support reform campaign by opting out of ceremony. Natara Charoensuthipan, a 23-year-old student who choose to skip gruation ceremony, claimed that students can t be forced to attend event and refore many choose it as a way to peacefully show ir disapproval of King Maha Vajiralongkorn.

Thailand has been gripped by student-led pro-democracy demonstrations for months w. protesters believe that Thai monarchy has too much power and refore one of ir major demands has been to bring about changes to country's constitution.
In Thailand, monarchy is considered sacrosanct and refore calls to reform m are unprecedented. In dition, protesters are also demanding resignation of incumbent Thai Prime Minister as well as strengning of constitution to make it more democratic.
