Thousands march in Peru against President Castillo
An opposition rally marched from downtown Lima on Sunday to the joint command of the Armed Forces calling on the intervention of the military against newly inaugurated President Pedro Castillo and his cabinet.

Protesters carried a giant Peruvian flag and held banners reing slogans like "yes to democracy, no to communism." After election of Pedro Castillo as president of Peru, many people have not been happy and believe that left-wing government that Castillo represents will le m to governments like Venezuela's.
"I don't want to leave my Peru, I don't want to send my children to anor country," said protester Iris Rodriguez.

Castillo won elections on June 6 against Keiko Fujimori of Popular Force party. Castillo h announced Friday, during a ceremony with diplomats, that foreign policy of his ministration will be characterized by " principle of non-intervention". president, a 51-year-old rural teacher, said that unilateral blockes against nations will be condemned and relations will be maintained with all countries of world. Castillo assumed presidency on July 28 and his government is scheduled until 2026.
