Tragedy strikes on 'Bigg Boss' Tamil season 2 after a technician died on the sets of the show

Reportedly, a crew member on the sets of ‘Bigg Boss’ Tamil met a tragic end after falling from a height of two floors on the sets of the reality television show. The incident took place on Friday, September 7, post which he was immediately rushed to the hospital and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). On Saturday afternoon, the crew member breathed his last.
Gunashekaran was an AC technician on the sets of Bigg Boss Tamil season 2 and was a local of Ariyalur town. He was attending to a technical issue when he fell from the second floor. According to reports, the police are investigating the matter after an official complaint was filed in the Nazarathpet Police Station in Chennai.
This is not the first time that such an untoward incident has happened on the sets of ‘Bigg Boss’ Tamil. During the shoot of season 1 of the reality show, a 28-year old plumber from Mumbai had died after suffering from a seizure on the sets.
The second season of 'Bigg Boss' Tamil premiered on June 17. The show is hosted by actor Kamal Haasan. Prior to the Season 2, the set used for season 1 of the show was renovated. But for the second season, the organisers of 'Bigg Boss' Tamil included special features specifically for the season. These features include a jail room, to increase the level of punishments to the contestants who commit mistakes in the house.
The second season began with a total of 16 participants. The participants are: Yashika Aannand, Ponnambalam, Mahat Raghavendra, Daniel Annie Pope, Vaishnavi Prasad, Janani Iyer, Ananth Vaidyanathan, Ramya NSK, Sendrayan, Riythvika, Mumtaz, Thadi Balaji, Mamathi Chari, Nithya Balaji, Shariq Hassan Khan and Aishwarya Dutta entered in 'Bigg Boss' 2 Tamil house. Now the stage is set for the elimination of 10th participants.
The show has been making headlines ever since its launch, because of the controversies taking place inside the house. The host, Kamal Haasan had even revealed the second teaser of his latest film, 'Vishwaroopam 2' on the show, ahead of its release on August 10.
