Canada has surpassed 200,000 COVID-19 cases with the pandemic playing out "differently in different provinces and territories," according to the prime minister.

Cana has surpassed 200,000 COVID-19 cases with pandemic playing out "differently in different provinces and territories," according to prime minister.

Calling for a "Team Cana effort," Justin Trudeau asked residents Tuesday "to keep following guidelines of ir local public health authorities."

"When you wear a mask, limit your in-person close contacts and use free COVID alert app you're doing your part," Trudeau said.

He warned against "ise and harmful misinformation about on internet."

" best thing Canians can do," Trudeau said, is listen to experts, doctors and people "who are focused on keeping m safe every single day."

For most people, new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks.

For some, especially older ults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia and death.
