Trump Accuses 'Sleepy Joe' and 'Comrade Kamala' of Steering U.S. Toward World War III
Trump criticized Biden's foreign policy, stating, “Who is negotiating for us in the Middle East? Bombs are dropping all over the place!"
Donald Trump launched a scathing critique against Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on Sunday, accusing their administration of driving the United States towards World War III.
On the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Trump criticized Biden's foreign policy, stating, “Who is negotiating for us in the Middle East? Bombs are dropping all over the place! Sleepy Joe is sleeping on a beach in California, viciously exiled by the Democrats, and Comrade Kamala is doing a campaign bus tour with Tampon Tim, her really bad V.P. pick. Let’s not have World War III, because that’s where we’re heading!”
The former president's furious social media outburst comes amid escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah. Early Sunday, Hezbollah launched over 320 rockets in retaliation for the death of senior military commander Faud Shukr, killed in an Israeli strike last month. This attack followed Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon, which Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Daniel Hagari described as a “self-defense” measure aimed at halting Hezbollah’s missile assaults.
Trump's latest tweet intensifies his earlier remarks from Thursday, where he warned of a potential “Nuclear World War III” under Vice President Kamala Harris. This statement echoes his frequent warnings about global conflict, a theme he's mentioned around 32 times on X and Truth Social, with roots dating back to 2013.
Trump's daughter-in-law, Laura Trump, has echoed these concerns on her podcast, The Right View, suggesting that a Harris presidency could lead to a “recession and World War III.”
In contrast, Trump has expressed confidence in his ability to broker peace in the Middle East, stating in July 2024, “Looking forward to seeing Bibi Netanyahu and achieving Peace in the Middle East!” He has also claimed that he could resolve the Ukraine conflict in a single day if re-elected.
