Dixville tch: In early hours of Election Day, tiny New Hampshire town of Dixville tch upheld its decades-long tradition of midnight voting, with former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris each receiving three votes. 

Located near U.S.-Canada border, Dixville tch has only six registered voters, who cast ir ballots immediately after clock struck twelve. This early voting ritual, dating back to 1960 election, ensures that Dixville tch often reports first U.S. election results.

Why Does Dixville tch Vote at Midnight?

Dixville tch’s midnight voting tradition, which began in 1960s, has its origins in neighbouring town of Hart’s Location, which first implemented practice in 1948. Midnight voting originally allowed railway workers, who were unable to vote during regular hours, to cast ir ballots early.
