Washington: US President-elect Donald Trump has announced that Karoline Leavitt will be White House Press Secretary in his upcoming tenure of presidency.

"Today, 45th and 47th President of United States Donald J. Trump announced that Karoline Leavitt will serve as White House Press Secretary. Karoline was Trump Campaign National Press Secretary and previously served in Trump White House as Assistant Press Secretary", said Trump-Vance campaign in a statement.
Leavitt did a phenomenal job: Trump

Youngest to Hold Position
Leavitt is 27 years old and has been political aide of Trump. She is set to be youngest person ever to hold this position, surpassing previous record set by Ronald Ziegler in 1969.

She began her career as a summer intern in White House Office of Presidential Correspondence and later joined White House Press Office as an assistant press secretary under Kayleigh McEnany during Trump's first term.

Leavitt is originally from New Hampshire and has a bachelor's degree in communications and political science from Saint Anselm College.
