Trump hits Democrats, boasts virus preparedness
US President Donald Trump opened a campaign rally in Charlotte, North Carolina on Monday with fresh attacks against the two leading Democrats in the presidential nominating contest.

US President Donald Trump opened a campaign rally in Charlotte, North Carolina on Monday with fresh attacks against the two leading Democrats in the presidential nominating contest.
"And you know, you hear about enthusiasm for crazy Bernie, and that's true. He does have some enthusiasm, but much less than we have and a much smaller group of people, too," referring to candidate Bernie Sanders.

Trump also highlighted his administration's plans for preventing the spead of the COVID-19 virus.
Trump noted his meeting with pharmaceutical company executives on Monday to learn ways to speed the development of a vaccine for the coronavirus.
