President Trump has justified his actions of  withdrawal of US troops from Syria by stating that Kurds did t support and fight for country in second world war. move has enabled a Turkish offensive against US-backed Kurdish fighters in region.

According to reports, after signing of executive orders on federal regulation at White House, Trump released statement, on Wednesday. statement said that Kurds didn’t help United States in second World War, and used rmandy as an example.

He also ded that United States have spent an ermous amount of money helping Kurds over years, but fact that though y are fighting with U.S. But still fighting for ir own land, bors him. Trump reffered to a a “very, very powerful article”, published by conservative opinion writer Kurt Schlichter, on how Kurds did t help US in rmandy, supporting his action.

For over five consecutive years, United States military has been backing Kurds against Islamic State, losing more than 11,000 Kurdish fighters. He also ded that If one looks at how much money US has spent on NATO and how European countries were a bigger beneficiary of results than US.

Critics argue on country's commitments to its allies

On Wednesday, Turkey launched an offensive into rth-eastern Syria against US-backed Syrian Defense Forces (SDF), a Kurdish force that controls region, as US troops backed off.   Turkish offensive came just days after call betwwen President Trump and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after which Trump tweeted that US troops would withdraw from region.

Trumps decision in Syria has brought bipartisan condemnation. While some people support his decision, critis argue that Trumps decision has cast a doubtful im of country's commitments to its allies. y've also said that it could enable an ISIS resurgence and raises fears that some of thousand ISIS fighters captivated by Kurdish forces might escape.
