Community organisation ‘Insight UK’ expressed disappointment, highlighting "appalling lack of understanding" of Diwali's religious significance. In a social media post, group pointed out that Diwali is t only a time of celebration but also a “deeply spiritual occasion” for Hindus, and menu choice displays a lack of respect for religious tritions associated with festival.
