BioNTech's chief commercial officer, Sean Marett, told The Associated Press on Wednesday that the British authorities had asked extremely "deep questions and detailed questions" before granting the company a temporarily license for its COVID-19 vaccine.
He denied that the UK decision would divert supply from elsewhere and that the company would adhere to "fair allocation for everyone" and that he hoped the company would make a "fair profit...so we can keep in business."

BioNTech confirmed Wednesday they'd won permission for emergency use of their COVID-19 vaccine in Britain, the world's first coronavirus injection that's backed by rigorous science - and a major step toward eventually ending the pandemic.
The company said its priority now was to begin transporting the vaccine to the UK as quickly as possible.
